ACCIDENTS

The renter must contact the police and/or obtain a police report from the attending officer.  An ACCIDENT REPORT FORM is supplied with the vehicle along with the vehicle registration.  The renter shall ask the officer, other party (if one) and any witnesses to complete the form and this form shall be submitted upon your return.  The company must be contacted as soon as possible of any accident.  Pictures of the accident scene, any other vehicle, situations, or other objects involved in the accident shall be taken with copies provided to the company.

THE INSURANCE COVERAGE MAY BE VOID IF THE ABOVE NOT FOLLOWED!

All occupants shall be seated and restrained by provided seat belts when the vehicle is moving as required by law.

FUEL AND FLUIDS

The motor home is full of gasoline and propane when received and shall be full when returned.  If not full, the company will charge $50 for each 1/8th below full shown on any fuel gage when returned.  Engine fuel used shall be of at least 90 octane or more.  The renter shall be responsible for the cost of all fuels.  In addition, the holding tanks are received empty with valves and caps open and shall be returned the same.  It is the renter’s obligation to empty holding tanks or be charged $75 for the company to do the service for you.

MAINTENANCE

The renter is responsible for checking all fluids at each refueling.  If engine lights should illuminate, the renter shall inspect the issue, correct the problem, or contact the company to report the problem.  If an unforeseen mechanical issue should arise and the renter has contacted the company, the company will reimburse the renter for all approved costs for repairs upon presentation of receipts by the renter.  Also, tire air pressure is the leading cause for poor gas mileage and can cause accidents.  Check the tire air pressure at every refueling!

BREAKDOWNS/REPAIRS

Any repair shall be relayed to the company prior to the repair being made.  Non-authorized repairs may not be reimbursed.  The renter is required to cooperate with the company in remedying mechanical breakdowns.

If by chance the RV has a mechanical breakdown that results in over 12 “working” hours of interruption in the renter’s vacation, the company will reimburse for the greater of: the basic daily rate; the renters expenses for a motel room (maximum $50); car rental up to $100.  The company will take every step to get the renter back on the road.  In some cases the company will; send a mechanic to the location or deliver a motor home to the renter so that the renter can continue with the remainder of their vacation, as well as, provide the above reimbursement.

Issues or defects with TV, DVD, radio, a/c, heat, refrigerators, slide-outs, cruise controls, and other features are excluded from refunds, but will do our best to remedy the problem during your travel.

PREPAID CLEANING

We believe cleaning bathrooms, toilets, showers, kitchens, refrigerators, and mopping floors, dusting and window cleaning is not what you want to be doing while on vacation.  Therefore, as an option we offer a return cleaning service as a convenience for you; $60 if prepaid at the time you made the reservation, or $75 if requested upon drop-off.  We do expect the RV to be returned dirty, but not filthy or abused.  We ask that you simply broom sweep the floor and remove your garbage before returning the RV.  A good place to do this is when you top-off your fuel and/or empty the holding tanks.  RVs returned filthy, abused or in very poor condition may be subject to additional cleaning charges.

ARRIVAL AND PICK-UP

The renter shall contact the company within 24 hours of the date the RV is to be picked-up.  A check-in appointment time will be given to renter between the hours of 1pm and 4pm.  Please show up no earlier or later than thirty minutes of your appointment.  The renter shall expect to spend 60-90 minutes for completing the rental forms, orientation of operation of the cab and coach, inspection of the vehicle, loading of personal possessions and options, and questions/answers.

RETURN/DROP-OFF

The renter shall return the vehicle anytime between 8am and 11am on the drop-off date after which the renter will pay for additional time.  If the vehicle is returned past noon, a late return fee in the amount of $250 will be assessed.  The vehicle is considered returned when all personal possessions are removed with the vehicle cleaned (unless cleaning was pre-paid), the vehicle full of fuel and propane and the holding tanks emptied with the valves open and the caps off.  If the renter needs to leave to complete these tasks, the vehicle will still be considered not returned with the hourly rate and/or late fee pending.  It is always a good idea to plan on returning the vehicle early to eliminate lateness due to traffic, refueling, dumping, cleaning or directions that should accidentally cause you to be late. Remember, in most cases there is another party waiting for you to return to take their vacation.  It takes 3 hours to check you in, clean the exterior, sanitize the interior and perform vehicle maintenance before we can rent to the next traveler.  Please be courteous and return on-time!

If you should realize that you will be late, or that you would like to extend your vacation please contact the office as early as possible.  If notified early, we may be able to place the renters in another RV, or contact them for a later departure time.  From time to time there may be a day or two between travelers and we can permit you to rent the RV for additional days.
